Fun, interactive site for maths games and other subjects. The children enjoy playing ‘Caterpillar Ordering’ in maths lessons.

Another interactive site featuring maths games and other subjects.  Our favourite maths game is ‘Shark Numbers’ which is great for recognising tens and ones in numbers.

All children have their own log in and password (this should be stuck in their reading record).  If your child does not have their password, please email asktheteacher@wolborough.org.uk and I can provide their details.

English/Phonics

https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk

Children are familiar with this website and use it in class to support the learning of phonics.  We are currently working within Phase 5, however it will be useful for children to revise Phase 3 and 4 sounds and activities.  There are also spelling activities in Phase 6, for example plurals and word endings –ing and -ed.

Access is currently free using log in :march20  password: home

real PE at home includes an online programme which supports families to be active, play and learn together. It includes a programme specifically for children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 with 12 themes, 6 areas, over 250 activities and challenges and 1000s of hours of fun and activity. This programme is also great for family play and fun (you will recognise some of these activities from our Family Funs sessions!).

It also includes a programme for children in Key Stage 2, with daily and weekly guidance provided for both programmes in addition to an option to choose your own themes and activities.

There are so many benefits to being active, not only to our physical wellbeing but also to our emotional and mental health, especially in such testing times for all of us. We hope that the ideas help support you and your family to stay fit and healthy in the coming months.
